Salisha Thomas has recently moved to New York from California to pursue acting avenues. Salisha is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association (AEA) and the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA). She has earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theater from the California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) which she completed in less than four years. 

Her recent credits include the roles of “Princess Tiana” in Disneyland’s Mickey and the Magical Mapand “Dime” in Disney’s California Adventure’s Five and Dime. She was principal vocalist in both roles. For her work at Disney, she can also be seen on the cover of Disneyland Magazine. 

While performing for TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, Salisha performed as TiMoune in Once on This Island and was nominated for “Best Leading Actress in a Musical" at the Theater Bay Area Awards for this role.  

As of other regional credits, Salisha has played Martha in Spring Awakening, Dynamite/Cindy in Hairspray, Liz in Chicago, Trix in The Drowsy Chaperone, Deena Jones in Dreamgirls, “Bless the Lord” in Godspell, Tina Turner in The Wedding Singer, Urleen in Footloose, Sarah’s Friend in Ragtime Concert and Alice’s Daughter in Big River. Salisha has also opened for Heart at the Honda Center.

Outside of the world of theater, Salisha has been very active in the Miss America Organization as well as the national platform of the Children’s Miracle Network. She earned the title of Miss Fullerton 2013 under the platform of Children with Disabilities. She was awarded Miss Congeniality as well as numerous talent awards throughout the competition. In addition to this, she earned her spot in the Top Five in the National Cover Model Contest for Four Points Magazine.

Salisha also spends much of her time volunteering and helping others including Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), Make a Wish Foundation, and Firefighters Creating Memories. She began the Anti-drug campaign “S.A.L.I.S.H.A. An Anti-Drug Campaign” which stands for “Students Avoiding Life Inhibiting Situations for Healthier Aspirations.”  

Salisha is a well-rounded actor with experience in a variety of roles in and out of the theater. As a trained musician, actor, and singer, she is dedicated to her craft as vocalist and an actress. She recently signed with Brady, Brannon, and Rich for Bi-Coastal representation.
